I bet this was the major tactic they delayed mentioning (IP connections), I mean after the DUPE incident... DUPEs went so far into the community that they couldn't all be cleaned before far too many innocents were at risk.

This one guy in my brother's guild lost all 82 of his accounts. That is not an exaggeration. He had a buttload of max titles, many, many stacks of ectos, several rare minis. He even had obisidion armor + chaos gloves on his PvP chars in addition to his pve chars.

I love the people that say all their bot accounts were banned but then they're upset their main account (which they never botted on) was banned as well. They think that just because they didn't bot on one account means they should be able to keep all the spoils of their botting?

I did a Rata Su bot maybe once a week for 3 weeks, just to make enough money to easily afford lockpicks and consets without worrying about the cost.

It was fun while it lasted, being able to go on runs with absolutely no need to worry about money. I didn't need 1000 ectos, I only needed 50k so that I wouldn't go broke trying to support 10 different characters and their heroes with armors, runes, etc.

Oh well, four year old account with 10 level 20 PvE characters banned. I quit GW nearly two years ago and only came back when I saw the potentials of actually writing a botting script and making it work. I was enjoying the computer science aspect more than actually earning virtual money.

Didn't lose much, I'll just go back to doing what I did for the last two years. Have a good one, GWG.

Mmm, probably made about 300k total anyways, was enough to pay for cons and lockpicks for numerous amounts of FoW/UW/Urgoz/DoA/HM dungeon runs.

But yeah, I guess I also challenged myself to see if it was possible to run a script like that. It always used to be witchcraft to me when I was younger, but now that I'm actually a major in Computer Engineering, it was fascinating that I had the capability to write something like this.

I had no ill intentions, but it doesn't really matter anyways. I'm actually kind of glad the people who horded hundreds of ectos were purged from the system. I was kind of sick of seeing weapons with nice skins go for over 200-300 ectos, maybe that will change now.

I really love how dumb all of the botters are. They all claim like 5-6k+ hours, when in reality they played maybe 600 of those hours themselves
